Guatapé (1/10)

One of the days on my trip to Medellin with Lara, we met up with friends of mine from Barranquilla and went out to this small town near Medellin. The town is called Guatape and is known for its location among a collection of lakes/inlets that have been created by a dam. The result is a beautiful landscape of water and bright green land. To see this incredible vista, you have to climb this massive rick thumb that sticks straight up out of the earth. Featuring 740 steps, La Piedra Del Peñol or El Peñon, it makes for a serious hike to the top.
